We take into account the welfare of the environment in everything we do. Our environmental system is certified to the standard ISO 14001, and we follow the principles of sustainable development outlined in the ICC Business Charter.
We purchase our raw materials only from suppliers that are aware of and take into account the environmental impact of their own operations. In production, our aim is to minimise the volume of energy consumed and the amount of waste generated.
We sort, recycle and re-use plastics, metals and packaging materials wherever possible.
We develop products with the least possible burden on nature and the environment.
We produce our cables in a safe working environment. Legislation and standards set a minimum level of safety for production. Our aim is to exceed this minimum level by constantly developing our operations. We are committed to supplying tested, reliable and long-lasting products that meet the requirements of our customers. They conform to the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU (Restriction of Certain Hazardous Substances). As a downstream user, we ensure compliance with the REACH regulation (EC) N:o 1907/2006. Our raw materials do not contain substances on the REACH candidate list (SVHC).
We evaluate our level of responsibility annually with the international EcoVadis system. EcoVadis is an independent CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) assessment body that evaluates environmental responsibility, working practices, ethics and a sustainable supply chain. The evaluation criteria are based on international corporate responsibility criteria, such as the GRI, UN Global Compact and ILO principles, and the ISO 26000 standard.
We have achieved a gold level rating in the last two years, of which we are proud and happy. Responsibility is a day-to-day action that meets the goals and is made possible by well-planned processes.
Our objective is to manage the environmental aspects of our business comprehensively and systematically. This is done through an efficient environmental management system. Our Operations Handbook has been certified according to the ISO 14001 environmental standard (original certification 7 February 2001, most recent update 6 October 2018).
